For dogs, deformities may appear as abnormal enlargement or reduction of a certain part of the body, or the shapes of limbs, eyes, ears and other organs are different from those of normal dogs. These differences make deformed dogs look unique in appearance. Of course, deformed dogs may face some additional challenges. They may require special care, such as a customized wheelchair or a special diet.
However, deformity does not mean that the dog's quality of life will be reduced. In fact, many deformed dogs are not significantly different from normal dogs in terms of adaptability, intelligence and emotions. They are equally capable of feeling joy, sadness, love and friendship. They can also become our loyal companions, accompanying us through every stage of life.
