The California Shiny Cat is not an ocelot. Although its coat color pattern is similar to that of leopards and ocelots, its body is larger, its appearance resembles that of a leopard, and its body is covered with leopard prints, making it appear wild, but it is actually a type of domestic cat.

The California Shiny Cat is based on cats of eight different bloodlines, and it took five generations of breeding to produce the leopard pattern. The spotted pattern and body shape took six generations of breeding to achieve. Its coat color changes a lot, including gold, silver, blue and brown, etc., and its appearance is very beautiful.
