The conditions and fees for police dog adoption may vary by region and relevant agencies. Here are some basic requirements and information:
Adopters Must be over 22 years old, have independent financial capacity, love dogs, have certain experience and ability in raising dogs, understand the basic needs and behavioral characteristics of dogs, and be able to provide necessary training and attention to dogs.
The adopter has a stable job and a non-shared fixed residence, has the ability to provide the dog with enough space, a comfortable environment and medical care, and can provide long-term care and support for the dog.
The adopter’s family members do not have animal allergies, and there are no children under the age of five in the home.
Voluntarily accept an irregular return visit once a year. The adopter cannot let the retired police dog work or participate in any commercial or related activities again.
An adopter can only adopt one police dog.
If the dog cannot be adopted due to force majeure, the dog must be discussed with the adoption office and jointly find a new adopter. Without consent, the dog may not be transferred to others or abandoned for adoption.
