Visuals Awards - VA Visual Design Awards, referred to as VA, is a design competition for new consumer products for pets. It was launched by the PIIS Pet Industry Innovation Summit in Shanghai.
In this year’s VA2022 competition, the competition team received a total of 192 sets of entries submitted by 85 pet brands. After 2 weeks of 7 preliminary expert jury members, they combined innovation performance, appearance design performance, The comprehensive performance of the six major review dimensions of brand communication performance, functional design performance, commercial value performance and sustainability was used to score the works. In the end, a total of 75 groups of outstanding works were shortlisted for the finals, with a finalist rate of approximately 39%.

Event Award Ceremony
The Visuals Awards event award ceremony will be held at the plenary session on the first day of the PIIS2022 Forum Held on-site, the greatest value of the VA competition award ceremony is not only a stage to witness honors, but also that it provides a special interpretation of annual pet product design trends - expert representatives from professional packaging and industrial design will analyze the winning works and entries. In-depth sharing, compared with the mature competition field of new consumption, what room for improvement can there be in the future design of pet products? How to scientifically "attract attention" to improve the commercial monetization ability of products? They will all get answers or inspiration at the awards ceremony.
Participating organizations in the VA2022 event will receive free tickets to the awards ceremony, where they can watch the ceremony and listen to professional advice and sharing.
The awards are more comprehensive
The VA2022 competition incorporates considerations for the sustainable communication of the brand and the display of brand power into the award setting. The subdivided awards are divided into "Best Creative Design Award", "Best Product Design Award", " "Best Brand Communication Award", "Best Functional Design Award", and "Most Commercial Value Award" are awarded in five categories. The works will more easily demonstrate their core competitiveness on the publicity side and gain high-quality exposure and promotion.
Scientific and reasonable scoring mechanism
The VA2022 competition uses grouping to classify works. The food group and supplies group will be scored separately by their respective expert judging panels. Taking into account the attributes of different products and the difficulty of innovation, the food group is divided into three sub-groups: staple food, snacks and health products. The supplies group is divided into smart supplies, cat litter, pet toys, cleaning and disinfection products, and basic supplies. 5 categories, the classification is more detailed, and the works will be judged in their respective categories. Scientifically and objectively demonstrate the actual competitiveness of the work.
