The main clinical application of gentamicin sulfate in the current clinical treatment of poultry is mostly used to treat bacterial and mycoplasmal diseases. For example, gentamicin sulfate is combined with cefquinoxime injection to treat bacterial and mycoplasmal sepsis and lower respiratory tract (airsacculitis and embolism) infections; gentamicin sulfate is combined with Fuzheng Jiedu and aminopyrine , to treat synovial mycoplasmosis in chickens; or to inject gentamicin sulfate alone to treat sepsis and other diseases caused by Escherichia coli and Salmonella.

Gentamicin sulfate can also be used with amoxicillin sulfate to treat Myxomyces sulfate. Oral penicillin preparations such as amoxicillin soluble powder, compound amoxicillin powder, amoxicillin soluble powder, and ampicillin soluble powder are compounded into prescriptions. This combination of gentamicin sulfate and penicillin antibacterial drugs can obtain " 1+1>2” synergistic antibacterial effect.

What needs to be emphasized is: gentamicin sulfate is different from all other diseases. Like aminoglycosides, they have varying degrees of potential nephrotoxic side effects on poultry. If poultry has kidney disease, it should be avoided as much as possible if there is renal insufficiency.
