The lifespan of a cat is affected by many factors, including genetics, feeding and management, nutritional status and physical condition. Generally speaking, the average life span of a cat is about 12 to 15 years, but a normal, healthy cat may have a longer life span, up to 15 to 18 years. However, this is not absolute. Some cats may live more than 20 years under good breeding conditions and medical conditions.
The lifespan of different breeds of cats will also vary. For example, cats of Ragdoll, Orange and other breeds may have a longer lifespan on average, while Fold-eared cats may have a relatively short lifespan due to congenital health problems.
