Owls usually make nests in trees. Trees can provide abundant branches, leaves and tree holes, allowing owls to easily hide in them to avoid being discovered by natural enemies. At the same time, the height and sturdiness of the tree provide a good view and a secure nest where the owl can quickly capture potential prey.

And owls' vision mainly relies on night vision, so they who are active at night prefer to build nests in high places. In addition, owls do not build their own nests; their nests usually come from their own prey.
