Each cat’s labor process is different, and some mothers may take longer to complete their labor. This may be due to individual physiological differences, fetal size, number of fetuses and other factors. If the environment is noisy, unstable, or disrupted, it may cause a delayed delivery for the mother cat.
After the cat's mother's amniotic water breaks, her behavior should be closely observed. Provide a quiet, comfortable environment for the mother cat to give birth to reduce her stress and anxiety. Avoid disturbing her during labor so she can concentrate on finishing the birth. If your pet appears to be in pain, anxious or restless, contact your veterinarian promptly.
