Peony parrots usually only recognize one owner in their lifetime, forming a deep emotional bond with them and treating them as close companions. Their dependence and trust on their owners is very strong, so once they identify their owners, they will be very loyal.

However, this does not mean that peony parrots cannot interact with or receive care from other people. But in comparison, their feelings for their owners are deeper and more special.
