Visuals Awards, referred to as VA, is a competition for the packaging and appearance design of new pet consumer products. It was launched in Shanghai by the PIIS Pet Industry Innovation Forum.
In last year’s VA2021 competition, the competition team received more than 100 sets of works submitted by more than 50 brands. After 13 expert jury representatives from professional packaging and industrial design institutions, the competition team focused on the design of the entries. Professional and detailed scoring was carried out in six dimensions: innovation performance, appearance design performance, visual communication performance, functional design performance, commercial value performance and sustainability. In the end, President Baby, Taitail Life, Chongluoji, Brand, CATLINK, Seven pet brand owners, Youha and Maoqiu, won the best seven items in the competition, with an award-winning rate of approximately 6.5%.
The Visuals Awards 2022 competition continues the fair, transparent, and scientific selection criteria, aiming to discover truly outstanding and creative pet works. It hopes to inspire more inspiration and enthusiasm in the industry while protecting high-quality original design works. The VA2022 competition uses grouping to classify works. The food group and supplies group will be scored separately by their respective expert judging panels. Taking into account the attributes of different products and the difficulty of innovation, the food group is divided into three sub-groups: staple food, snacks and health products. The supplies group is divided into smart supplies, cat litter, pet toys, cleaning and disinfection products, and basic supplies. 5 categories, the classification is more detailed, and the works will be judged in their respective categories. Scientifically and objectively demonstrate the actual competitiveness of the work.
