The Miniature Poodle, also known as the Mini Basset Griffin Vendéen or the Short-legged Poodle, is a type of scent hound. This dog breed originated in France in the 16th century. It is a member of the Griffin Vendée family and the only remaining one of the four rough-coated dog families. They have significant muscle structure that allows for smooth and coordinated movement, making them suitable for extensive physical training. Miniature poodles are generally well-adapted to colder climates, get along easily with other dogs, and are well-suited to city life.
Originally, poodles were mainly used for hunting rabbits, but now they are more often used as gun dogs and companion dogs. In many parts of the world, including the United Kingdom and the United States, the breed has won the hearts of breeders and dog owners.
It should be noted that poodles tend to suffer from back pain, and male dogs sometimes bite frequently in order to win the "care" of their dog owners. Therefore, when raising this dog breed, special attention needs to be paid to its health and behavioral training.
