This method is commonly used by web-building spiders. They usually stay in the center of the spider web or deep in the web hole. Once they receive the message that prey is coming or is stuck, they immediately run up to catch it. The Striped Golden Spider is a quiet and laid-back hunter, and once it makes its home, it never strays far away. It carefully lays a dragnet to catch all kinds of flying insects. Even the brave and vicious insect-eating fly, which flies to catch bees like a bag, can only be captured if it crashes into the striped golden spider's home court.
Stalking hunting
This is one of the methods often used by hunting spiders that do not build webs. They mostly use vision and smell, or even rely on vibrations transmitted from the ground to sense the location of prey, and finally approach the prey to capture it. For example, jumping spiders have a relatively developed visual system and can correctly judge the direction and distance of prey. Once they find the prey, they can immediately jump on it to catch it.
The jumping spider is an introductory animal to macro photography. It is willing to "show off" itself to cameras and mobile phones.
"Two Spiders" dialogue drawn by Wang Yuqi
Currently, many scientists are studying humble spiders. Because spider silk is stronger than steel by weight, it is also more flexible than nylon. Materials scientists believe that spider silk is nature's most remarkable material. It is impossible for spiders to produce silk for humans because spiders are carnivores and like to live alone. Large-scale breeding is destined to fight each other and "spiders kill" innocent people. Scientists are exploring genetic technology to enable plants to grow spider silk in large quantities. There are many obstacles at the moment. Humans who can land on the moon are currently unable to recreate spider silk through technological means. So in the eyes of scientists, squatting down to study spiders is as important as humans exploring the infinite universe.
